Instant Pot Fried Rice

  • 2 cups uncooked white rice
  • 2 cups cubed or diced ham
  • green onions- chopped
  • 2 eggs- scrambled
  • sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 bag peas and carrots
  • Soy sauce- to taste
  • Sesame oil to saute veggies


  1. Cook rice in your instant pot
  2. 1 cup of water for every one cup of rice
  3. Rinse rice under cold running water until water runs clear
  4. Add oil to Instant Pot along with the rinsed rice, water and salt
  5. Lock the lid and set the steam valve to seal
  6. Cook white rice for 4-8 minutes or r follow the cooking chart below
  7. Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes and then release any remaining pressure
  8. Fluff rice with a fork and serve
  9. Remove rice and set aside in large bowl
  10. Turn instant Pot to sauté and add sesame oil
  11. Sauté ham and add eggs, stir until cooked
  12. Add peas, carrots, green onions and water chestnuts and  soy sauce to taste (make sure it is coated)
  13. Stir until cooked then add rice back in and stir while adding
  14. Add last half of soy sauce and stir
  15. Serve right away or keep warm in Instant Pot
  16. Enjoy
